The early life of Morfydd Clark

Morfydd Clark was born on March 17, 1989, in Sweden, but when she was 7, she moved with her family to Penarth, Wales, where her mother decided to be a pediatrician, and her Northern Irish Glaswegian father became a software engineer. While she was in Penarth, she and her sister decided to enroll in a Welsh-language school; she was soon diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD; when Clark was 14, taking pills resulted in serious depression, and 2 years later, her mother asked her to leave school.

She was reared outside Cardiff, she could speak Welsh fluently and dropped out of school at 16 to become present at her uncle’s farm for a year; her mother motivated her to test acting since Morfydd was interested in acting when she was a kid; she also participated in the Youth Music Theatre’s production “According to Brian Haw.” She accepted her mother’s recommendation and made a formal application to the National Youth Theatres of both Wales and Great Britain and the Welsh National Youth Opera. Surprisingly, she was accepted into all three. She preferred the National Youth Theatre of Wales and started acting at Drama Centre London; Michael Fassbender and Colin Firth both studied in this center.

The actress was not interested in school and left it when she was just 16. She found out she was not interested in following academic studies. When she completed high school, she rapidly became a part of the world of acting.

3. She was nominated for an Audie Award

Morfydd along with other actors of ‘Les Liaisons Dangereuses’ were the nominees for the Audie award in 2017 for an audiobook narrating of the play. “Dominic West”, “Una Stubbs”, and “Elaine Cassidy” were also among the actors who took part in the recording.

4. She passed out after being selected for playing in ‘Lord of The Rings’

Morfydd was in a hotel room when she was informed that she’d been selected to play the role of Galadriel in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The actress was so strongly affected that she passed out on stage.

5. She is interested in starting farming life with enthusiasm

Morfydd is very pleased with her Welsh heritage. Her parents and sister still live there, and her aunt and uncle still keep the farm where her grandfather lived there, near Corwen. Morfydd takes pleasure in getting stuck into farm life, which involves assisting during lambing season.
